About The Role
Site Manager – Wakefield

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week, 5 out of 7 days (including weekends/evenings)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead our facilities management operation at a busy distribution centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. You’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality soft services FM solution, building strong relationships with the customer, and managing a large onsite janitorial team to ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and develop a large operational cleaning team, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH.

  • Manage service delivery against KPIs, SLAs and budget targets.

  • Maintain strong daily communication with the customer and service partners.

  • Oversee audits, statutory compliance and FM project activity.

  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the site.

  • Recruit, train and support colleagues, managing performance and building a positive team culture.

About You
Role requirements
  • Proven leadership experience within soft services FM, ideally in distribution or large-space commercial environments.

  • Strong understanding of cleaning operations, compliance and safety standards.

  • Ability to analyse data and performance metrics to drive outcomes.

  • Excellent communication, people management and relationship-building skills.

  • Resilient, proactive and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
